Named “Personality of the Week” by La Presse on two occasions — October 8, 2000 and November 11, 2013 — over the years she has garnered a host of awards and distinctions.

She presided over the international jury at the prestigious 2003 Floralies de Liège, an event organized under the auspices of Floralies de Gand and the Belgian royal family. She also sat on the juries of Floralies de Nantes (2001) and Euroflora (Italy, 2001 and 2011).
In 2001, she was honoured by America’s oldest gardening association, the Boston-based Massachusetts Horticultural Society, which gave her its Gold Medal for her leadership and innovation in bringing Montréal’s parks and green spaces to unprecedented levels of excellence.
In 2002, she received the Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Medal, awarded to Canadians who have made a significant contribution to community and country.
Acadian “personality of the year” in 2000, in 2013 she received the Télé-Québec Ambassador Award as part of the Grands Prix Desjardins de la culture for her home region of Lanaudière.
She has been a member of both the Association des architectes paysagistes du Québec (AAPQ) and Canadian Society of Landscape Architects (CSLA) since 1979 and of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) since 1986.
She was inducted into the Canadian Society of Landscape Architect’s prestigious College of Fellow on September 14, 2012. In 2014, the Association des architectes paysagistes du Québec gave her its Frédérick-Todd award which recognizes members and non-members for their exceptional contributions to promoting landscape architecture.
