    A large-scale exhibit such as this is organized with the support of valued partners and hundreds of volunteers. Mosaïcultures Internationales de Montréal presents, with appreciation, the organizations and businesses who believed in this project, which is sure to delight and dazzle the million expected visitors.

    MosaïCanada 150/Gatineau 2017 is at the heart of the 150th anniversary of the Canadian Confederation. Thus, the Government of Canada is our main partner in this horticultural adventure, as the Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Canadian Heritage, is pleased to confirm:


    "MOSAÏCANADA 150 makes an appearance in Gatineau this summer in order to dazzle residents and visitors. The 150th anniversary of Confederation marks an important milestone for our country and offers us a unique opportunity to celebrate the richness of our history and our diversity. Come live a colourful experience which highlights urban and horticultural art."


    Mr. Greg Fergus, Member of Parliament for Hull-Aylmer, is particularly proud to see Gatineau display its finery: "Our 150 years of history will be illustrated here, in the region, thanks to the spectacular MosaïCanada 150 project. Local residents as well as visitors from home and abroad will have the chance to see majestic horticultural works of art along a nearly one kilometre circuit."

    Following the exceptional regional mobilization to welcome the MosaïCanada 150/Gatineau 2017 event, the Québec government has chosen to follow suit.


    It was with great pride that, on May 5, 2016, Ms. Julie Boulet, Québec Minister of Tourism, announced the support of the Québec government: “All the regional partners are present to make MosaïCanada 150/Gatineau 2017 an extraordinary event. We believe that this event will contribute to the economic growth of the region through the benefits generated."

    MosaïCanada 150/Gatineau 2017 will promote the many attractions of the city of Gatineau, a place where we celebrate 150 years of joie de vivre! Thus, Gatineau for Life, the new image of the city, is the perfect fit for an art which celebrates the beauty of nature.


    Mr. Maxime Pedneaud-Jobin, Mayor of Gatineau, was excited at the announcement of Gatineau as the host of MosaïCanada: "It will be a rallying event like no other. MosaïCanada 150/Gatineau 2017 will promote Gatineau and the whole Outaouais region. The countdown will begin by June 30th."

    Attached to the Université du Québec en Outaouais, the Institut des sciences de la forêt tempérée is dedicated to the study of the temperate deciduous forest. ISFORT researchers are interested in issues associated with the functioning of ecosystems, the characterization and monitoring of natural resources and the development of innovative approaches for the development of natural resources in temperate forests.

    The work of ISFORT is part of an ethic of sustainable development of forest resources in order to be ecological sound, socially acceptable and economically viable.
